Lamentations 3:19-26
God is our provider and sustainer; He commands our obedience. Yet we let Him down far too often. Do we remember, or do we forget, that God has an abundance of steadfast love, but He also has a wrath? No matter how disobedient we might be God’s love and compassion never change. However, He does get angry with His disobedient children. Let’s give Him thanks; “His anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime” (Ps. 30:5a). So, to get God’s lifetime favor, we must repent, turn from our wicked ways, and obey Him.
“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail” (v.22). God is not a flip-flopper; He is purposeful, steadfast, and unchanging. How wonderful it is to have hope in Him, knowing that His love and mercy never expire! Jeremiah acknowledged that though God brings grief, he will show compassion according to the abundance of His steadfast love (v.32) even though we don’t deserve it. “Great is God’s faithfulness” (v.23) because He promised they are new every morning.
Like Jeremiah, in our season of suffering, we must declare that God is our inheritance and wait on Him (v.24). He is good to those whose hope is in him and seek him (v.25);it is good to wait quietly for the Lord’s salvation (v.26). He is well able to do just what He promised. Clap your hands and shout, “Glory!

Amen, and thank you for following.
Amen and Hallelujah!! I’ve often said we don’t like to talk about his wrath, but yes he does have a wrath. Thank God for Jesus.
